Steve is on the faculty of Christ Seminary where he is engaged in training African pastors and church leaders.
The seminary is allied with a local church and African missions organization that together are impacting churches and people throughout sub-Saharan Africa.
Together the seminary, church and mission focus on rural and underdeveloped regions of Africa and train pastors and church leaders, evangelize, plant churches, build buildings, dig wells, provide food and clothing and send out medical teams to rural areas as well as other forms of relief and benevolence.
Steve’s full time ministry is lecturing at the seminary, but he is also helping to minister in the local churches as well and is an associate pastor at Christ Baptist Church in Polokwane.
Support and Involvement
We are dependant on the support of those who also see the importance of the ministry we are involved in.

GMI does not charge an administrative fee. 100% of your gift goes to support us.
You can give electronically online or by sending checks through the mail. To give through GMI (a ministry of Grace Community Church) go to the Missionary Adoption page at the Grace Community Church website and follow the instructions.

Our Needs as of September 2007
Thanks all of you for your help. The bed situation has been taken care of, and in June we bought a set of couches (known locally as a lounge suite).
God has provided a house for us on the same street as the church, within walking distance. It is a 4-bedroom, 2-bath house and with the addition of the new baby it's a tight squeeze, but we will manage just fine.
We bought a 1991 Volkswagen Microbus (it's the only thing we'll fit in). When we bought it in November of last year it had only 115,000 kilometers (70,000 miles) on it; that's less than 6,000 miles a year. The car had been sitting on a velvet pillow for 15 years. It's a great vehicle that will meet our needs for years to come.
Needs of the Church, Seminary and Mission
Christ Baptist Church and its ministries are always in need of financial aid. The church is growing quickly, and the current facility will soon be overcrowded. Plans have been drawn up and money is being saved to extend the auditorium.
Samaria Mission is a ministry of Christ Baptist that travels all over southern Africa planting churches, building buildings, administering aid, drilling wells, and all other kinds of benevolence. They also need financial support.
They also want mission teams from the U.S. to come out and help them do the work. Every summer, several mission teams come over here. There is also a need for individuals, specifically hardy young men who will live in the bush of Mozambique for ~3 months at a time managing camps, among other things.
The seminary has many needs. It just received official accreditation from the government, but they said the library needs more books. It's people like you who enable them to buy the books.
The seminary have also overgrown their current housing facilities. A new dorm is in the works. The land is set aside, the plans are drawn, the only thing needed is the money. Contact Ian to see what you can do to help.
